York's upcoming League Two trip to face leaders Barnet has been postponed. The match, scheduled for Saturday 3 October, is off after Barnet confirmed two of their fixtures have been delayed due to international call-ups.

Barnet Football Club said: "We can confirm that two of our upcoming Sky Bet League Two fixtures have been postponed due to international call-ups." The postponements affect their game against York and an earlier away match at Crawley Town. EFL rules state a fixture can be postponed if a club has players called up who have started or been a substitute used before the 75th minute in 50% of their matches.

York, who sit fourth in the table with 14 points from eight games, will now have their preparation schedule altered. They come into the period off the back of a 3-0 win over Gillingham, a result that showed their attacking threat with goals from Joey Grey, Jovan Malcolm and Ollie Pearce. Their recent form has been mixed, with two wins, a draw and two losses in their last five outings.

Instead of facing Barnet, York's next fixture is now an away trip to face AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy. Following that, their next scheduled League Two match is at home against Accrington Stanley on Saturday 11 October. The club's rearranged trip to face Barnet will be rescheduled, with a new date yet to be confirmed.

Supporters should check the club's official fixtures page for updates on the new date for the Barnet game and the latest standings.
