York City U18s have released their 2026/27 EFL Youth Alliance League North fixtures, starting with an away match against Preston North End on Saturday 8 August. The squad, part of a senior side that leads the National League with 108 points from 46 games, will host Morecambe on 15 August in their first home fixture.
Season Kick-off
The U18s’ season kicks off with a tough away trip to last season’s runners-up, Preston North End, on Saturday 8 August. This will be followed by a home game against Morecambe on 15 August. The opening month concludes with back-to-back trips to Lincoln City, first in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup on 18 August, then in the league four days later.
Key Fixtures
September sees the young Minstermen on the road throughout, with league trips to Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alexandra and Burton Albion. October includes a Greater Manchester double, as they head to Stockport County and Oldham Athletic, while Wrexham and Rotherham United visit North Yorkshire. The end of November brings another Yorkshire derby as Bradford City visit, before Rochdale, Grimsby Town and Mansfield Town round off the calendar year.
Cup Competitions
The Minstermen will also compete in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup this season. The draw for Round One has been completed, with a trip to Lincoln City scheduled for Tuesday 18 August. The full list of round dates is as follows: Round One - Tuesday 18 August, Round Two - Saturday 26 September, Round Three - Saturday 31 October, Quarter Final - Saturday 30 January, Semi Final - Saturday 20 February, Final - Tuesday 16 March.
