Their dominant league performance culminated in finishing top of the table without a single loss. The team further cemented their historic season by winning the York FA Cup on Saturday, April 25. They faced the Strensall Tigresses U12 Girls in a thrilling final held at Poppleton Junior Football Club, completing their double triumph.
Throughout their successful campaign, the Wigginton Grasshoppers received invaluable support from Artium Construction. This Leeds-based business, which originally started in York, has been a dedicated sponsor, contributing to the girls' journey to championship glory.
Martin Watson, managing director of Artium Construction, expressed immense pride in the team's accomplishments.
