York City Football Club has launched Minstermen+, a brand-new streaming platform designed to deliver live match coverage, commentary and exclusive content to supporters around the world. The service is now live and serves as the main hub for all club-related streaming, including matchday audio and video content.
In the UK and Ireland, York City cannot stream any EFL fixtures live due to existing broadcasting agreements, meaning matches are only available on Sky Sports or Sky Sports+. However, games not scheduled for a 3pm Saturday kick-off will be accessible+. For these fixtures, Minstermen+ will provide live audio commentary starting 10-15 minutes before kick-off, available through individual match passes, monthly or season-long subscriptions.
Fans based outside the UK and Ireland can purchase individual match passes, monthly bundles or full season-long subscriptions to Minstermen+ to watch live video streams of York City’s games. Both video and audio streams will go live 10-15 minutes before kick-off, ensuring supporters don’t miss the build-up. The platform also hosts match highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes content exclusive to subscribers.
The club confirmed that FA Cup fixtures cannot be streamed by York City on any platform and will not be available on Sky Sports due to separate broadcasting rights. Similarly, EFL Trophy matches fall under the same restrictions as league games in the UK and Ireland, meaning they follow the Sky Sports+ availability model for non-3pm Saturday fixtures.
As of 29 August 2026, York City sit 6th in League Two with 4 points from two games (1 win, 1 draw, 0 losses), following a recent form of DW. They have scored 4 goals and conceded 3, giving them a +1 goal difference, and are just two points behind league leaders Barnet. Their next fixture is an away trip to Cheltenham Town on 1 September 2026, who currently sit 14th in the table. Fans can check the full list of upcoming games on our fixtures page and see how the squad is shaping up on our squad hub.
York City has published a detailed FAQ section on Minstermen+ to help supporters understand pricing, device compatibility and how to access both video and audio streams. Whether following the team from Bootham Crescent or abroad, Minstermen+ aims to keep every fan connected to the action this season.
